Gerda Scheuers started collecting The Smurfs memorabilia when she was around six years old. She and her brother played with The Smurfs toys together when she realized she wanted to protect and keep them from getting damaged. She has been collecting The Smurfs ever since.

Shceuers never thought she would be a known figure in The Smurfs community, but after submitting her application in 2018 became the Guinness World Record holder. Scheuer's collection is worth around $100,000 and is made of over 13,000 items. In this episode of The Vault, Scheuers shows The Smurfs items from around the world.
